My sister (Emily Dean) started a blog of all the delicious recipes she's tried and her family enjoyed. I thought it was a great idea! Instead of having to remember what book or website or magazine I found recipes, I thought I would compile them into a blog. I may not be completely consistent with entries, but it's not really for you anyway. However, feel free to enjoy any of these recipes! I will try to add notes after I cook/bake them. Happy Cooking!

Summer in the City
Every ending has a beginning. The end of summer means the beginning of fall. Time for football, sweatshirts, hot chocolate, boots, big blankets and my personal favorite, coffee!! Although Fall is my favorite time of the year, I cannot help but look back on this past summer as a successful one. I had a wonderful roommate. I had great summer classes. I got to travel to New York. I received a couple paychecks, always nice. However, my favorite thing about this summer was simply living in Nashville. "Why?" you ask? Well, I will tell you. One simple word: Music. It is a great passion of mine, so to be able to live in the Music Capital of the world, well, what more could a girl ask for? I was able to enjoy countless concerts, meet so many different types of people, but most importantly, my eyes and ears were open to so many different genres of music. I gained a new respect for singer/song writers. What talent they have to not only write lyrics, but also write music to fit perfectly with the soul of the lyrics and then to jump on stage in front of a crowd of people hoping not to get 'boo-ed' off the stage. This weekend is the Next Big Nashville event. Being new to the Nashville area/scene I am not sure if this is an annual thing but it seems to be an amazing opportunity! 5 days full of music, 6 different venues and over 130 artists! To me, this sounds like music heaven! I am going to try and make it to as many concerts as I can this weekend and I urge you all to join in on the fun!
